While a design student and some time there after he worked as a designer for the Harvard Art Museums creating publications, posters, and collateral focused on new exhibitions. A move back to San Francisco landed him at the advertising agency, Eleven Inc., where he worked for four years as an Art Director creating integrated campaigns for Virgin America, Apple, Callaway Golf, SF Moma, and Black Star Beer. In 2008, during his time at Eleven, he helped launch the music discovery brand Yours Truly with his two founding partners Nate Chan and Will Abramson. In February of 2012 he left his nine-to-five to focus all his love and attention with his fellow partners on growing Yours Truly. CAMERON WRIGHT / Festival Director – Canadian Music Week,Cameron has been involved in the Canadian music scene for over 12 years. Heavily involved in live music, Cameron can be found producing shows with every major promoter in Toronto – from AEG Live to Live Nation to Embrace Productions and more. He has helped produce shows for Oasis, Foo Fighters, Tool, Portishead, Phoenix, Stone Temple Pilots and hundreds more. For the last 3 years, he has been the festival director for Canadian Music Week which takes over Toronto every March with 80 venues showcasing over 1000 bands from over 40 countries. HELEN KENNEDY / Helen has recently started working at RCA Records in Sony in the A&R department having been a music and fashion journalist in London for the past two years. She continues to write for magazines such as Dazed & Confused, the Quietus and 1883 Magazine, and has interviewed the likes of Goldfrapp, Foster the People, fashion designers Agi&Sam and covered the Way Out West festival in Gothenburg. RCA have recently signed bands such as Everything Everything, Post War Years, Swim Deep and MS MR amongst a handful of R&B and pop acts. JAMES COOPER James has art directed record covers for David Bowie & Paul McCartney along with a host of indie UK & Australian musical acts. He co-wrote the top 10 charting single ‘Beautiful As You’ for Australia’s much loved band, The Whitlams. For the last few years he has been working as an advertising creative in Ireland with leading brands like Guinness, Absolut, Aer Lingus & 3 Mobile. Recently James discovered a passion for directing content via his ‘Amongst Inspiration’ web film series profiling Irish creatives & his own ‘Foreign Cities’ music films project. Having just completed a directing course in London James is now turning his attention to directing and has just directed the “Bunkhouse Triptych” web film series for Fionn Regan / Universal Music. MATT MCDONALD / CMJ Matt’s primary focus is on programming artist showcases at the CMJ Music Marathon.
