BABAK KHOSHNOUD / Founder – Yours Truly born in Tehran and raised in Northern California, Babak spent his college years in Boston receiving his B.F.A from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. While a design student and some time there after he worked as a designer for the Harvard Art Museums creating publications, posters, and collateral focused on new exhibitions. A move back to San Francisco landed him at the advertising agency, Eleven Inc., where he worked for four years as an Art Director creating integrated campaigns for Virgin America, Apple, Callaway Golf, SF Moma, and Black Star Beer. In 2008, during his time at Eleven, he helped launch the music discovery brand Yours Truly with his two founding partners Nate Chan and Will Abramson. In February of 2012 he left his nine-to-five to focus all his love and attention with his fellow partners on growing Yours Truly.

CAMERON WRIGHT / Festival Director – Canadian Music Week,Cameron has been involved in the Canadian music scene for over 12 years. Heavily involved in live music, Cameron can be found producing shows with every major promoter in Toronto – from AEG Live to Live Nation to Embrace Productions and more. He has helped produce shows for Oasis, Foo Fighters, Tool, Portishead, Phoenix, Stone Temple Pilots and hundreds more. For the last 3 years, he has been the festival director for Canadian Music Week which takes over Toronto every March with 80 venues showcasing over 1000 bands from over 40 countries. In 2012, Canadian Music Week celebrated its’ 30th anniversary.

DEV SHERLOCK / The Hype Machine Dev is part of the elite team at The Hype Machine, one of the world’s most influential music sites, where he works closely with artists and music bloggers, and is also host/co-producer of Hype Machine Radio.His career spans both traditional and new media. He served as an editor at Musician Magazine, a programming exec for Clear Channel Radio, and co-founder of a digital media start-up before teaming with The Hype Machine in 2009. Also a widely-published music journalist, his writing has appeared in Rolling Stone, Q, Billboard, The Word, NME, Time Out, Details and The Rolling Stone Album Guide.

HELEN KENNEDY / Helen has recently started working at RCA Records in Sony in the A&R department having been a music and fashion journalist in London for the past two years. She continues to write for magazines such as Dazed & Confused, the Quietus and 1883 Magazine, and has interviewed the likes of Goldfrapp, Foster the People, fashion designers Agi&Sam and covered the Way Out West festival in Gothenburg. RCA have recently signed bands such as Everything Everything, Post War Years, Swim Deep and MS MR amongst a handful of R&B and pop acts.

JAMES COOPER James has art directed record covers for David Bowie & Paul McCartney along with a host of indie UK & Australian musical acts. He co-wrote the top 10 charting single ‘Beautiful As You’ for Australia’s much loved band, The Whitlams. For the last few years he has been working as an advertising creative in Ireland with leading brands like Guinness, Absolut, Aer Lingus & 3 Mobile. Recently James discovered a passion for directing content via his ‘Amongst Inspiration’ web film series profiling Irish creatives & his own ‘Foreign Cities’ music films project. Having just completed a directing course in London James is now turning his attention to directing and has just directed the “Bunkhouse Triptych” web film series for Fionn Regan / Universal Music. JASON EDWARDS / began his career in music before he left school as a contributing writer at Artrocker magazine and ThisIsFakeDIY. He then moved to OneRecords as their in-house press officer whilst simultaneously establishing a regular club night at Glasgow’s School of Art. Now a booking agent at 13 Artists (a boutique agency in Brighton representing Radiohead, The Arctic Monkeys, Interpol and more) since August 2010, Jason looks after a roster of artists including Grimes, Spector, Theme Park, Factory Floor, Oh Land, Clock Opera and Blood Orange.

JEFFREY REMEDIOS Toronto based president and co-founder of Arts & Crafts, one of the top independent music companies representing artists including Broken Social Scene, Timber Timbre, Dan Mangan, Zeus, The Darcys and many more. Jeffrey oversees all aspects of the company’s business, establishing A&C as a global music brand. Rolling Stone Magazine recently cited Jeffrey as a key insider shaping the future of the music business.

LAURA WEBB / started out in the music supervision world by working with esteemed music supervisor, Laura Wasserman. During her time as a music coordinator, she worked on films such as SHARK TALE, A LOT LIKE LOVE, XXX2: STATE OF THE UNION, 500 DAYS OF SUMMER, MTV’S THE HILLS. Laura has been the music supervisor on various television shows and movies such as: THE CITY, TAKING THE STAGE, HOW’S YOUR NEWS. She is currently music supervising MTV’s WORLD OF JENKS, TEEN WOLF as well as two indie films HIGHLAND PARK & SAVE THE DATE.

LIZZY NEWTON / is a Music Festival Booker at South By Southwest (SXSW). Now in its 26th year, SXSW is one of the largest, most influential, and most anticipated music events of the year. SXSW 2011 saw over 16,000 music industry professionals – including nearly 3,000 media members – attend panels, industry discussions, trade show exhibits, and an expanded six nights of music performed by just over 2,000 acts representing 57 countries, performing at over 90 venues in downtown Austin, Texas.

MARIJE BROUWER / Booker – Eurosonic Noorderslag is Europe’s main conference and showcase festival for European music. With Eurosonic Noorderslag the Noorderslag Foundation wants to create a platform for the European music industry and promote the European repertoire Eurosonic Noorderslag is the key exchange and networking platform for European music, European artists, international music industry and interactive professionals, companies and organizations. Eurosonic Noorderslag hosts over 3,000 delegates, offers showcases by 300 artists and a conference program with 150 panels, keynote speakers, interviews, workshops, dinners, parties, meetings and a music related interactive program.

MATT MCDONALD / CMJ Matt’s primary focus is on programming artist showcases at the CMJ Music Marathon. Now in its 32nd year, the Marathon attracts more than 1300 artists and 100,000 music fans from around the world to NYC every fall and will take place this year October 16-20. In addition, Matt oversees various events, tours, and music licensing initiatives at CMJ throughout the year, with a primary focus on up-and-coming acts. Prior to joining CMJ in 2005, he was a talent buyer at a handful of New York clubs.

MINE ERGUEN Booker at the Hamburg based Reeperbahn Festival. The Reeperbahn Festival is Germany‘s leading club festival & conference, a 3-day indoor live music club festival including more than 200 live acts on more than 30 stages. Mine Erguen became part of the Reeperbahn Festival in 2008. She lives and works in Hamburg.

NATASHA HADDAD / The Great Escape / Mean Fiddler – Promoter. Natasha works for MAMA Group across various divisions within the company as a promoter booking tours, stand alone shows and media and brand partnership events.
Core to her role is booking the Great Escape Festival, which in just 6 years has established itself both as the leading event in Europe for showcasing new talent from around the world, and as one of the most exciting events on the festival and convention calendar.

NATHANIEL GRAVELY / is the co-founder of successful independent music blog I Guess I’m Floating and, more recently, Small Plates Records. Started over Soulseek conversations about Elliott Smith in 2005, IGIF is concerned with one thing: serving great new music to unsuspecting masses. Nathaniel also works in Digital Music Strategy at MTV in New York City, where he lives.

Polar Patrol currently publishes Johnny McDaid (songwriter), Here We Go Magic (band), Kidda (electronica artist), Luke Temple (singer/songwriter) and Gita Harcourt (songwriter).

WILLIAM ABRAMSON / After graduating with a BS in Music Industry from USC in 2006, Will began work as the Indie Music Director at Yahoo! Music, where he created the indie music department from scratch. He then moved to San Francisco to take a position as the Marketing Manager at imeem. It was at imeem that he began producing videos for La Blogoteque’s “Take-Away Shows” series, and eventually for a new brand he created with two partners called Yourstru.ly, so named for their love of handwritten letters. In 2010, Will took a position as the Senior Director of Branded Entertainment at BUZZMEDIA, creating original music campaigns for Chevy, Braun, W Hotels, ASUS, etc. In May 2012, he left BUZZMEDIA to focus solely on Yourstru.ly
